Maintain the Memories

Posted by Sharon

Each summer, the Alumnae of Camp Crestridge come together for a weekend and clean camp like crazy.  They come in on a Friday night, eat dinner and fellowship, then work all day Saturday painting, raking, spreading mulch, cleaning, etc.  They finish the day with a beautiful campfire.  Then on Sunday, they have Chapel and say their goodbyes.  It’s really a mini Reunion so you don’t have to wait 5 years to come back to camp.  We are so grateful for the work they do because it allows us to have more training time during Staff Week instead of spending the whole week to clean camp.

  1. In the beginning of this post you said it was for alumnae, but then as I read through I wasn’t sure. Is this event for alumnae only or are you inviting any camper to come??

  2. Omg hannah, your are from florida, me too! Im from Orlando. Ok so i know this is really random, but I think our dads used to be really good friends when they were younger. Im 14, but i have an 11 year old brother who i believe is about your age.

  3. Glad a lot of you are interested in coming to help work! If you decide to come, you’ll need to have at least one parent with you. It’s for supervision purposes, so talk to your parents!

  4. oh cool, so any camper can do it!! that would be sooooo fun, but its past the registration due date so awwwwww. 🙁
