Construction Update
Posted by KarahWow! We are getting so close to summer. We can’t believe how fast this year has flown by, but we are getting so excited as staff start to arrive. Staff week begins in just less than 2 weeks, and campers will be here in just over 3 weeks! Crazy! Let’s take a look at how close we are to being done at camp…
We have good news about the Dining Hall! We got our Certificate of Occupancy today, and they are just putting on some finishing touches!
The new Staff Lounge is located on the lower level of the Dining Hall, and below is a glimpse of what it looks like!
Next, check out how beautifully the pool and pool house have come along!
Below are some pictures of our new Upper Crafts room! 
Next is a picture of our finished campfire area. No more wobbly benches! 
Finally, our new barn is almost finished! 
Thank you all so much for your prayers through this process. Please continue to pray for us as we finish up these next few weeks and prepare for campers to get here. We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of everything until it is all finished!

Construction Update
Posted by KarahHello, everyone! Thanks for checking in on the blog today! Wow. We are so close to summer. It’s hard to believe. We are in the home stretch now with the construction. Don’t worry. It will all be finished by the time campers arrive! Check out the pictures below to see how things are looking.

Construction Update
Posted by KarahWow! We’re getting so close to summer and camp is really coming together!
Below you can see that the new barn is going up nicely! The barn is so big because there will be an indoor riding ring. This way, if it’s raining during skills, campers can still ride!
This contraption is a new challenge course element on the Ridge next to the Rock Wall and the Leap of Faith. It’s a giant swing that pulls you back into the woods, then releases you toward a beautiful view over the mountains.
Here’s another shot of the Dining Hall. It’s crazy how fast this building is moving along. It seems like there is major progress each day.
Below you’ll see the Chapel. It has moved along so fast, and is looking beautiful!
Finally, here’s a shot of the Ridge from our upper green. To the right you can see the edge of the Climbing Wall, then further to the right (not in the picture) are the additional challenge elements: the Leap of Faith and the swing. You also see the nearly finished Choctaw hill. Spring has definitely sprung here in North Carolina, and it is absolutely beautiful! We can’t wait to see you all so soon!

Construction Update

The most current picture of the Dining Hall construction.
We have finally broken ground at Crestridge! If you did not know, we are undergoing some big and exciting changes here at Camp Crestridge in order to accommodate more campers and impact even more lives for God’s glory. The first major project is the Dining Hall. After almost two weeks of work, the back porch has been completely removed and most of the trees have been cleared to make room for the additions on to the 
Dining Hall. We are so excited to see the changes begin and will continue to keep you all updated on the progress.

Exciting Construction Updates
Posted by SharonLots of construction crews have been busy this year at Crestridge! We’d like to fill you in on what all has been happening the past several months. There are three projects at this point.
1. The two cabins are coming along well. The shells are finished (minus the siding and roofs). Now it’s time to get started on the inside. Previously, we said that the new cabin on Chip/Chick Hill will be a Chickasaw cabin. There has been a change and that cabin will now be a Chippewa cabin. There will still be four Chippewa cabins and six Chickasaw cabins. The staff cabin (currently known as the Mansion) will also be a Chippewa cabin. The current Chickasaw 6 will be a staff cabin. The Chippewa cabin is a little different. It has the porch on the side instead of on the end. It looks great!
We’ve also decided to have six Cheyenne cabins and six Choctaw cabins. So if you have finished 6th grade, you’ll be in the Cheyenne Village. If you have finished 8th grade, you’ll be in the Choctaw Village. For those who have finished 7th grade, you’ll either be in Cheyenne or Choctaw.
2. We are adding a covered porch across the front of the Lodge. This will allow more covered, outdoor space for the cooking skill!
3. Marty and Rob are updating the bathrooms in the Infirmary. We don’t have any pictures to show at this point, but this is a huge improvement! They are updating the light fixtures, vanities, toilets, and added new tile floors!

The Construction is Continuing
Posted by SharonChippewa and Cheyenne Hill will see an addition this year. After much thought and prayer, we have decided to add two new cabins for summer 2014. One of the cabins will be built just below the Mansion (staff cabin on Chip/Chick Hill). This new cabin will be used in the Chickasaw Village. The current Chickasaw 4 cabin will become Chippewa 4. The Chippewa Village will now have 40 campers!
The second new cabin will be built behind the current Cheyenne 12. The Cheyenne Village is now going to be available for those who have finished 6th grade along with some who have finished 7th. For those who have finished 7th grade, you will either be in the Cheyenne or Choctaw Village. The Cheyenne Village will now have 50 campers! We are so grateful and excited for the opportunity to impact more lives!
Construction has started on the new Cheyenne cabin, which will be called Cheyenne 14. Here’s the progress so far…

Johnnie Armstrong’s Campfire Message
Posted by SharonJohnnie Armstrong, former director for Camp Crestridge, has been with camp since the beginning, 1955. She has continued to return each summer during our third session. She spoke at campfire this past Tuesday and a camper asked if we could post her message online. You can click on the link below to access the message. The Lord has used and is continuing to use Johnnie in mighty ways. We are thankful for all she has done for Camp Crestridge!
